Last of July

The sisters played at a large gathering of companies in Yamagata this evening. There were about 500 guests in attendance. They got to eat a good meal after the show. The sisters finished their busy performance schedule this month and will leave for the national competition in Nagoya on Friday.

Taking turns

The sisters made a special Tuesday night appearance at KOYO hotel onsen in Kiminoyama tonight. Kyla's skin is being replaced so they only had two shamisens. In this photo, Brenna and Shana play while Kyla waits in the back to take her turn. There were over 100 people watching as this is peak cherry season in Yamagata.

on with the (last) show

The sisters finished up a busy weekend performance schedule tonight at Koyo hotel. They were a little tired as their performance finished at 9 p.m. Tomorrow school starts back.

Cherry Blossom Party

Tonight the sisters played in downtown Yamagata city at a beautiful traditional inn called the Chitose-kan. You can see the lit up cherry blossoms outside the window.

YBC TV crew

The YBC film crew finished today taking film of the three sisters at home rehearsing and at their performance tonight at KOYO hotel hot spring in Kaminoyama, Yamagata. Afterwards, they were interviewed. The show will appear on March 21st in the Tohoku region of Japan. See the stage calendar on the right for details. 

Traditional Hot Spring

This photo at the sisters performance tonight shows the front of the traditional hot spring hotel they play at regularly. Afterwards, the sisters enjoy some hot chocolate on a cold snowy Yamagata night.

Snowy Yamagata

The sisters will perform tonight at Koyo Hot Spring Hotel in Kaminoyama city (near Yamagata-city). A LOT of snow has fallen in the past two days in Yamagata. Shana is seen here playing in the snow up in the mountains near the sisters' house. The sisters live near Zao. There is a lot of snow every year.

Sunday night live

Tonight the sisters played at Koyo Onsen Hotel as they do every week. It is a well-known Yamagata hot spring hotel. Kyla and Shana had sore fingers from practicing hard to record their solos yesterday.

October 26th Live

On October 26th at 2:00pm, you can see the sisters play at the beautiful resort town of Zao Onsen (蔵王温泉) in Yamagata. It is a reservation only performance. Make your reservation at Der Barte pension at 023-694-2225. There is a small fee but a dessert with coffee or tea is included. A good chance to see the sisters up close!

on TV

The Sisters are currently being filmed for a short TV show by a Yamagata TV station (Sakuranbo). The TV crew accompanied them to their lesson in Sendai, to their last performance and next will go to their school. The sisters are a little embarrassed by all the attention but it motivates them to play better each time. The show will air this coming Friday afternoon.
